Alain Voge – Cornas Les Chailles 2015 is a powerful Syrah from organically farmed vineyards at the foot of the granite-rich slopes of Cornas. The Les Chailles cuvée comes from slightly younger vines and showcases the more elegant, accessible style of the Voge house – without losing any of its depth.
The 2015 vintage brings ripe dark fruit, violets, smoke, pepper, and a hint of leather. On the palate, the wine is dense, spicy, and balanced, with fine tannins, a present freshness, and a long, slightly mineral finish. The wine was aged in used barrels to avoid obscuring its origins.
Ideal for lovers of powerful yet approachable Rhône-Syrah with provenance and balance. Wonderfully ripe now, with potential until at least 2030+.
