Alain Voge – Les Vieilles Fontaines Cornas 2009 is a powerful yet refined Syrah from the estate's absolute top vineyard. Les Vieilles Fontaines is vinified only in exceptional years – exclusively from old vines rooted deep in granite-rich soil. Aging takes place over 20 months in mostly used barriques, with a focus on structure and elegance.

The warm 2009 vintage brings a ripe, generous style with aromas of blackberries, black cherries, licorice, herbs, pepper, and dark earth. On the palate, the wine is dense and full-bodied, with silky tannins, soft acidity, and a long, spicy-mineral finish. Despite its opulence, it maintains clarity and depth.
