Conterno Fantino – Barolo Vigna del Gris 2016 is a precise, expressive Nebbiolo from the renowned Ginestra single vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. The Vigna del Gris plot is located at a mid-slope elevation and produces the house's most elegant, floral version – with plenty of finesse and depth.

The 2016 vintage is considered one of the best of the last decade: The nose reveals aromas of red cherries, violets, licorice, spices, and damp stone. On the palate, the wine is fine-meshed, straightforward, and silky, with ripe tannins, lively acidity, and a long, clear mineral finish. Aging in oak for approximately 24 months—with measure and precision.

Ideal for lovers of elegant, ageable Barolo with provenance, excitement, and depth. Drinkable now with aeration, ideal until at least 2040+.
