Domaine du Coulet - Matthieu Barret – Billes Noires Cornas 2011

Domaine du Coulet – Matthieu Barret – Billes Noires Cornas 2011 is a powerful, biodynamically produced Syrah from Matthieu Barret's oldest and steepest plots in Cornas. The Billes Noires ("Black Balls") cuvée is the house's flagship wine – vinified with minimal intervention, long maceration, and aging in concrete egg vats and large oak barrels.

The 2011 vintage presents itself mature and complex with aromas of blackberry, smoked bacon, herbs, leather, and graphite. On the palate, the wine is dense, deep, and structured, with fine-grained tannins, dark minerality, and a long, slightly balsamic finish. A Cornas with character and maturity – uncompromising and unique in style.

Ideal for lovers of naturally aged Rhône-Syrah with depth, individuality, and ageing potential. Drink now, with reserves until approximately 2030.
