Jules Desjourneys – Mâcon-Prissé 'En Chailloux' 2019 is an exceptionally precise Chardonnay from southern Burgundy, vinified by uncompromising purist Fabien Duperray. The En Chailloux vineyard in Prissé is synonymous with barren limestone soils, biodynamic cultivation, and artisanal precision – entirely in keeping with the Desjourneys style.
The 2019 vintage displays aromas of white peach, citrus fruit, wet chalk, and subtle floral notes on the nose. On the palate, the wine is crystal clear, taut, and deeply mineral, with lively acidity, a sparse structure, and tremendous length. Aging takes place in used wooden barrels, without batonnage, without fining, or filtration—pure origin.
